VOUCHER APPLICATION

Please discuss a potential referral with a specialist support profession/organisation (IDVA, Support Worker, Refuge manager, GP, DWP/CAB Adviser etc)

Once your application is submitted, reviewed and successful, a fuel bank voucher will be issued to you either by email or text message. (This is based on what was selected on the application form)

Vouchers will normally be issued between 48 – 56 hours and they are not issued on weekends or bank holidays (if you apply on a Friday, you might need to wait until Tuesday if the application is successful)

Talk to your energy supplier so they can consider ways of supporting you if your application is unsuccessful.

Please Note: We will stop accepting requests once we have reached the maximum number of referrals for each month. Up to three vouchers can be claimed per household throughout the entire referral scheme

VOUCHER REDEMPTION

Print off the email. Voucher codes should be presented as either the email or SMS message.  Codes handed to store staff on a piece of paper does not provide the details they need to be able to process the voucher.

Paypoint have a webpage which provides details of stores who have recently redeemed Energy or Cash vouchers and will be familiar with the redemption process- https://consumer.paypoint.com/cashout

For Post Office vouchers, the redemption outlets (Post Office Counters) can be in newsagents or other local convenience stores.  The Post Office vouchers must be taken to the indicated Post Office counter within the store which may be separate from the general shop counter.

Paypoint and Post Office vouchers cannot be redeemed at Payzone outlets.

Paypoint clients can call the Paypoint helpline number, 0330 400 0002, whilst they are in the store if they are having redemption problems.

Remember to take:

  • Your gas card and/or electricity key
  • Your energy bill if you are making a part payment using our vouchers
  • A form of identification
  • You can split payments i.e. top up both gas and electric keys/card once you’ve discussed it with the retailer.
  • Always keep your receipt until the top up appears on your meter or your payment contribution appears on the next invoice
